Recently, Standard Bank, South Africa’s leading financial institution, acquired 50.1% of IBTC Chartered Bank Plc., however, Churchgate continues to have a significant holding and position on the board in the new entity.

The Group’s involvement with banking was initiated with the founding of Chartered Bank Plc in 1988. Over a decade later, we established Regent Bank Plc. In 2005, both these two banks merged with IBTC and became IBTC Chartered Bank Plc.
